REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
Patient Care: primarily direct patient care of pediatric patients within the scope of the psychology license, education and experience.
Specific Patient Populations: The psychologist position includes providing primarily intensive outpatient services (meeting with each family 2-3 times a week for 2-5 weeks) providing evidence based treatment interventions for depression, anxiety (including OCD), trauma, and behavioral concerns. Training/teaching opportunities are also part of the role. Care will take place at Norwood Regional Care Center which is an innovative, multidisciplinary behavioral health center that opened in late 2019 to serve patients and families with higher levels of behavioral health needs. It includes partial hospitalization, crisis/Bridge appointments, and intensive outpatient treatments (family and group) conducted by a multidisciplinary team of psychologists, psychiatrists/APRNs, LISWs, and LPCCs. The model includes weekly team care meetings, as well as daily huddles/collaborations for patient care.
Assistant Professor Clinical with primarily direct patient care of pediatric patients within the scope of the psychology license, education and experience. Participate in safe, effective and compassionate patient care, commensurate with their level of advancement and responsibility. Interview and assess patients to determine presence of condition/disease and to establish preventive behavioral and mental health practices. Determine nature and extent of impairment, prescribe and administer appropriate behavioral or mental health interventions or assessments across a wide range of clinical cases.
Effective Communication: Provide for the exchange of appropriate patient care and clinical information when patients are admitted, referred, transferred or discharged.
Development of Clinical Excellence: Actively participates in department/division and system learner training and educational programs. Maintains currency in field through continuing education, literature and seminars.
Policy Compliance: Maintains good standing in the department by compliance to licensure and credentialing criteria. Comply with policies and procedures protecting patient rights for informed consent and the handling of confidential information as defined by Cincinnati Children's mission and applicable laws and regulations. Follow Cincinnati Children's established code of ethical behavior in decisions.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Required:PhD or PsyDin clinical or counseling psychology from APA accredited program.
Post doctoral training in child clinical psychology preferred.
2 years related experience
Unrestricted licensed psychologist in the state of Ohio
Credentialing from CCHMC's Medical Staff Services
Effective verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to relate to diverse educational, age and demographic backgrounds. Professional knowledge and ability sufficient to care for infant, children and adolescent patients. Knowledge of clinical specialty, growth and development, and family-centered care. Demonstrate skill in clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and evidence based therapeutic interventions
